Censorship Continues: Kanye West Banned from Instagram

It’s a continuous pattern of banishments from online speech in only one direction. And because of that we’re killing what keeps western society alive.

Let’s just cut straight to the chase. Kanye West is a firebrand who can say many things that make you scratch your head. Sometimes what he says is very true, sometimes it’s very wrong. Sometimes he says things that can make you cringe. He also must be some sort of brilliant because he’s managed to become a multi-multi-millionaire based on his musical talents, he runs many entrepreneurial efforts and he’s very articulate in his opinions. He’s converted to a form of Christianity all his own and more power to him for exploring what he believes to be true.

There’s a problem with doing that, however. When you start to search truly for the truth as you might find it, you run seriously afoul of the corporate globalist agendas. Entertainment, politics, war, it’s all driven by the world elites, and if you’re a big-time entertainer, you’re only so good as you are at influencing your followers to believe what the elites want to be the popular belief by serfs below them. Kanye, now going as Ye, is an African American rapper — the minute he steps outside what African American rappers are supposed to say, believe and do, he steps outside what will be allowed. Again, more power to him because the level of courage that must take is immense.

Is Kanye perfect? No, of course not. Does he say things which are ridiculous at times? You bet. Does he sometimes say things that are at the level of a societal epiphany? Again, yes!

So I’m not here to defend what Kanye West may have said about “Jews”. Whatever he did that resulted in his ban from Meta (they haven’t explained the ban with specificity), the biggest problem I have is that it likely requires a particular interpretation of his words in order to move the needle into bannable territory. That interpretation is also likely the very worst interpretation possible. And, far worse, this is all part of a continued push to ban people who are outside the corporate narrative, while simultaneously always defending those who are within it. Even when someone within the corporate narrative does something horrible, there’s sort of a wink and a nod that they’ll be back after a brief suspension. Those outside the narrative are simply banished.

Here’s a thought experiment for you: would Kanye West have been banned had the word “Jew” been swapped to “white”?

I often don’t agree with the people who are outside the official narrative. The narrative is sometimes right. But I also often do agree with the people outside the official narrative. Sometimes I am that person. And the issue with one side having the keys to the digital marketplace of ideas is that the more and more the outsiders are banished, the more and more it has a negative impact on society at large.

We need to be offended by free speech and free discourse. We need to be able to engage with the offensive. We don’t need to be coddled and protected from negative speech because it will result inevitably (and probably already) in weaponized compassion by corporations who know they can do so in order to control discourse.

Our country needs to return to the idea that “it’s a free country, I can say what I want.” There are negatives that come along with that, but the negatives are worth what it delivers in terms of freedom and public participation in a positive path forward. And we need to realize that the online sphere where discourse occurs at scales greater than the physical world is dominated by corporate control and interests. We can no longer just accept that online social media companies are private entities and can do what they want. Because they’re so few and because their interests are held by oligarchical powers, we’re strangling our free speech to our own danger and demise.

I don’t understand what the ban is for. Or I should say this looks so blatant a political thought ban it defies believability. I guess the overlords aren’t even pretending anymore. I’ve deleted PayPal and Instagram and Facebook and WhatsApp anyways. States need to divest from Blackrock ASAP or we get more of this. Everything China wants to happen to the US seems to be what US leftists want. Hmmmm…..
