That was fast. After an investigative report by our website on Disney material showing up on non-Disney platforms, things changed quickly.

Most of the films mentioned in my original article about Disney+ exclusives and Disney material on other platforms have shifted in the brief five days since our article on That Park Place was published.
Deadpool and Deadpool 2 have both been pulled from ad-supported on-demand streamer Tubi. Tubi is owned by Fox Corporation (not to be confused with 20th Century Fox which is now owned entirely by Disney).
Deadpool, and Deadpool 2 are now exclusively available on Disney+ (outside of direct digital purchase sites like Vudu, iTunes, etc.).
While Rookie of the Year is still available on Prime Video, it has been pulled from Roku’s ad-based free-to-consumer offerings.
For Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets From Space, the landing pages that were suspected to be for the films have disappeared from Paramount+ while the films are still available on Hulu and Peacock. There has been no public acknowledgement as to why these films are not available on Disney+.
Our article was published on November 14 and we only noticed the change today, November 19. That’s a lot of movement in a very short period of time. It could be coincidence, or it could be that someone at Disney wanted to test out ad-based streaming without rocking the boat too much. Disney doesn’t currently own any 100% ad-based streaming options with Hulu only having an ad-based option and Disney+ set to premier their similar offering in the coming months.
Do we have a loyal reader at the Disney company? It’s very possible. Is it a coincidence? It could be, but where’s the fun in that?
