When you hand Star Wars over to the former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein, you just know the franchise is going where it’s never gone before. But intimate scenes of a sexual nature are something we may still not have expected.
We all know it was bizarre that Lucasfilm decided to hire Leslye Headland to lead a show from a different time and place in a galaxy far, far away. At the time, Disney was not receiving pitches due to the pandemic. Yet Headland was hired anyway, in a manner that allegedly even had negative repercussion for Kathleen Kennedy from higher ups (not that there are many above her).
But when one hires an individual who was probably privy to all sorts of lurid information about Harvey Weinstein (and yet seems to have done very little to stop said behavior — this is speculative but seems logical), perhaps lurid content is on the way?
We’re now discovering via a scoop from Jonas J Campbell that Lucasfilm has hired an intimacy expert for the production of The Acolyte. We’ve never seen intimate relations in Star Wars, although a few sentient rocks may have attempted it. Much of that has to do with the sensibilities of Star Wars. Graphic gore and graphic romance have been purposefully left off-screen in the past. That seems to be on the way out.
Here’s the information we’ve uncovered on Star Wars’ first intimacy cooridnator:
Adelaide is a certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy for Stage and Screen (ISS), where she trained with Lizzy Talbot and Yarit Dor. Prior to that she was part of Ita O’Brien’s company, Intimacy On Set (IOS) until 2019. She has also been involved in the Intimacy Coordinators Mentoring Scheme for Underrepresented Groups led by Yarit Dor, funded by the Film & TV Charity Fund, ScreenSkills, and Moving Body Arts.
In addition to the credits below, which are UK based, Adelaide is an American citizen and available for work in the US. An advanced DBS certificate and PART certification is available upon request.

So there you go. It’s time to watch some Jedi love. Disney+ may never be the same… and even less of us may end up watching than previously believed. Is it possible to haveĀ negative viewership?

In their infinite wisdom they clearly want this to be the Star Wars version of Game of Thrones. Well, if Andor and Mando ratings are any indication this will go over as well as a fart in church.
This is an interesting choice given the first of anything related to the High Republic to be presented as a moving image will be the animated Young Jedi Adventures, a show for preschoolers. It seemed for a time LFL wanted to make a parallel Star Wars universe complete with virtually all new characters in the form of the High Republic. I suspect that’s been scaled back, amazing The Acolyte slipped through the cracks.
Wookies in love shouldn’t need an intimacy director.
Dear lord…
My kids lost their Disney+ accounts because Disney required their birthdays.
Are they planning for inappropriate content?
