It’s sad to see something fall so far that even the most ardent fans have abandoned all hope. The Mandalorian has finally done so.
Well, I think it finally happened. The Mandalorian has finally lost me. I’ve been trying to hold out hope that somehow Favreau and Filoni were going to pull a rabbit out of a hat, but it feels like they’ve lost the narrative focus they had in the first two seasons. Season 3 looks like it’s become a vehicle for stunt-casting, pre-planned endpoints that require narrative contrivances to get there, and almost fourth-wall breaking commentary on society and the concerns of the fanbase.
This is the worst "#StarWars" I have ever seen! @Jon_Favreau & @BryceDHoward you should be ashamed and embarressed for making this garbage! If you thought #Grogu jumping was an embarrassing scene, check this out! #TheMandalorian #Mando #DisneyStarWarsIsntStarWars pic.twitter.com/Nee8e4qAbt

Combined with the attitude of Iger on display in the Annual Shareholders Meeting this week, this will not go over well.
In the absence of pain, Disney will not learn. It’s time to cancel Disney+.

I felt the same way…there is no narrative to this show anymore. All of the progress made in season 2 is undone. It’s not the Mandalorean anymore its the Bo Katan show. I don’t dislike her character but I’m just not interested. They seem to be building her up to replace Cara Dune.
I am going to finish out the season because maybe the last two episodes will make sense, but it seems clear to me this season was rewritten at the last minute after Gina was let go.
To think we waited two years for this.
It’s gotten to Book of Boba Fett levels of bad. Which is really sad. Not sure what changed in the background, but it wasn’t for the better.
Won’t even bother with the rest of the season at this point. Bad Batch Season 2 was much better than this season of Mando, but there’s no reason to keep D+ at all now.
Honestly at this point I think even Book of Boba Fett deserves more respect than to be compared to this filth. Even the Verspa nonsense episode is probably less of a joke than this Mando episode.
Haha. This is why i already dump sw in supermassive blackhole when last episode book of boba out.i Didn’t watch Kenobi, andor or any sw live action after that.
I know they didn’t care about fixing luke and the storyline
It’s all about the message ‘sigh
Fortunately SW is thing of the past for me, i couldn’t imagine how angry and frustrated me.
If i keep my positive attitude after BoB end that they will fix everything.. thank God
With them underscoring the “DIRECT democracy” over and over, like Lorn said…so plainly intentional vs. a democratic republic. But to me, I actually had the feeling that Favreau was criticizing what a direct democracy is and leads to. You have these grandiose, aloof, ostentatious, opulent royal characters and court (the ruling class), and the citizenry is wholly dependent on robots. The people can no longer do for themselves. Maybe I’m wrong, but that was my take. I mean…both Jack Black and Lizzo’s royal characters acted WAY over the top.
Lorn, thinking about this episode a little more…it had some plusses. I liked the detective story. And I’m convinced that Bo Katan getting the Darksaber is a misdirection. Throughout the show and in previous episodes, Katan seems to be very impressed/affected by Djarin’s abilities. Like she is slowly realizing he has all the qualities to be the true Mandalore. And this seems to be an honest understanding/recognition of it.
I couldn’t get past the episode with the “monster” scout walker. No villager died in the making of this episode.
