Star Wars Outlaws Lead Writer the “Maven Of Filth” Nikki Foy locked down her social media account on X and password protected her website as the game’s newly released story trailer was lampooned.

Ubisoft released the game’s first official story trailer on April 9th, and it’s received a ton of negative reaction. It has nearly as many dislikes as likes. As of writing it has over 25,000 dislikes and 26,000 likes.

Many of the top rated comments are very negative and encourage others to not pre-order the game.
The current top-rated comment reads, “Never believe Ubisoft until you try the game yourself.
Another mocks the trailer’s writing, “‘You’re new to this wor[l]d, come back when you’re not.’ Translation: Go do side quests.”
A third reads, “Vote with your wallet everyone. Remember, this is Ubisoft. Don’t. pre-order.”

“Remember, never preoder from Ubisoft,” wrote VictoVonDoomDoom.
One person stated, “Ubisoft told me to be comfortable not owning their games. I’m gonna be very comfortable not buying this.”

Ochirip wrote, “The villain in this trailer is the only person that actually sounds like an actor.”

Others continued to mock the game and encouraged their peers to not pre-order the game.

As the game’s story trailer was roasted the lead writer Nikki Foy, who describes herself as the Maven of Filth, has protected her social media account on X and password protected her website.
You can see a screenshot below that her X account is now protected and only approved followers can see her posts.

It’s unclear when she password protected her website and locked down her account on X. An archive for the website reveals it was still public on June 29, 2023, where it details she was a scriptwriter on Far Cry 6 and was the Narrative Designer for Watch Dog: Legion. She was also the main writer on Far Cry 6 Villains Season Pass.
It also details that her first job in video games was as a content writer for Glu Mobile’s Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

As for her X account it was still public as of June 21, 2023 and reveals a pinned tweet of Foy announcing she’s the Lead Writer of Star Wars Outlaws.
She wrote, “SO DO I FINALLY GET TO SAY IT??? This is what I’m lead writer of!!!!!!!”

Another post heavily implies the game will be pozzed as Foy posted, “Best boss ever award to Navid Khavari for getting me this in celebration of the announce.” Khavari is the Narrative Director of Star Wars Outlaws.
As noted it’s unclear why Foy chose to password protect her website and protect her account on X.
