You may have heard that Dave Chappelle, the famous American comedian, has engendered some controversy in the past week-or-so. Chappelle does stand-up comedy, and his latest program on Netflix has resulted in strong feelings on both sides of the political and socio-philosophical spectrum. Chappelle has a bit in the latest Netflix special in which he presents his opinions on transgenderism, acceptance, tolerance, and more. Some people strongly disagree with his position while others strongly agree, and there are likely a few people somewhere in-between.
Netflix CEO Says He “Screwed Up”
In response to the Chappelle program, “several dozen” Netflix employees “walked out” at the Netflix headquarters in protest. There were also some people in favor of Chappelle who appeared. Notably, reports say that there were actually more media members present to record the event than there were protesters or counter-protesters.
