It looks like rumors from Overlord DVD have now been confirmed in regards to Indiana Jones 5. The YouTuber is reporting that Indiana Jones 5 features a younger, female assistant helping Indiana Jones out of physical situations… as well as wearing the famous fedora. Leaked images from the production appear to confirm these rumors. Time travel segments of the movie have been reported previously as rumors, but now also seem to be confirmed.
Of course, all this comes on the heels of new information that Indiana Jones 5 is being delayed by a full year. We have also covered on That Park Place the issues with extensive CGI and stunt doubles in place to get this film to box office in spite of Harrison Ford’s age. Ford is currently 79 years old and will be close to 82 years old at the earliest the film may release.
It is impressive that Overlord DVD has been able to leak information out so early from his sources, which are just now being confirmed. Even Yahoo! News is confirming the time travel aspects of the movie which Overlord DVD was reporting many months ago. With Phoebe Waller-Bridge clearly taking a larger role in the movie than other secondary characters ever have in an Indiana Jones flick, the question now becomes how far will the movie push a particular agenda. There is still no announcement about Kathleen Kennedy’s contract and whether she will be extended at Lucasfilm, but with the Maureen O’Hara Award already given to her, we expect to hear something very soon.

We’ve heard from various sources that Kathleen Kennedy’s standing with top Walt Disney Company executives has soured, but she may still yet continue at Lucasfilm if it helps Bob Chapek avoid further controversy. Will she be extended long enough to see Indiana Jones 5 released under her guidance? Given the length of time before the movie comes out, it’s anybody’s guess. Well, except for Bob Chapek. That’s one person who probably knows what’s about to happen.
