The Mary Sue Assistant Editor Rachel Leishman raged after YouTuber Star Wars Theory demolished Leslye Headland after watching an interview Leishman conducted with The Acolyte showrunner.

In a recent video upload, Theory not only destroyed Headland, but he demolished Leishman for her false narrative regarding the fact that the show introduced Ki-Adi-Mundi despite the fact the character had not been born yet. He also pointed out that Mundi does indeed know that Jedi are dying at the hands of a trained Force wielder despite informing the Jedi Council in The Phantom Menace that no Sith had been heard of in a 1,000 years.
Theory says during the video, “It’s so frustrating that she would dare to interject. The reason the Jedi in Episode I would not train Anakin is because of Osha and Mae. And how dare they even try and put Ki-Adi-Mundi in there as well so when Anakin does show up he’s like, ‘Well, we’ve seen this before. It didn’t work.’ Why are you changing stuff? Why are trying to…
He continued, “It was supposed to be a thousand years. There was peace. This is the height of the Jedi’s arrogance, they’re untouchable, they’re extremely powerful. You now have 87 years before that [a] s**tload of Jedi dying from a Sith, from a dude [with] a red lightsaber who’s killing Jedi. And you have the same dude who was literally preaching that we have a thousand years of peace, nothing can touch us, nothing has touched us in a thousand years, no Jedi have been slain in a thousand years. Literally there and he knows that Jedi are dead. I don’t care that if he knows that it’s a Sith that killed them. I don’t care if he knows if its a tooth fairy that killed them. He just now knows that Jedi have died. They have been killed by someone and they’ve been killed by a sister of a former student at the Jedi Temple, who went rogue. And Vernestra says that she was probably trained by a fallen Jedi from the temple. So essentially literally like a Sith.”
The level of lack thereof understanding of Star Wars and how this should not have happened, how the Episode I Phantom Menace movie is really supposed to be the beginning of the first time in a thousand years where the Jedi have seen any kind of discourse or violence or death of Jedi,” he asserted. “Having seen that 87 years before The Phantom Menace is just a mockery. It’s ridiculous. It doesn’t make sense. It shouldn’t have happened.”

Later in the video, Theory would go on to dispute Headland’s claims regarding Anakin Skywalker and why he fell to the Dark Side. Headland asserts, “With Anakin it was to save his wife. It was to stop the suffering of the person he loved more than anything in the world, more than his own self. That’s why it’s so tragic. Like he almost put her over so much stuff.”
If one watched the films, one would know that Padme was not suffering, rather Anakin was reacting to a potential future in which she dies, and he wanted to prevent that from happening. Theory also explains, “It wasn’t so much about Anakin saving Padme because he loves her more than anything. Yes, surface level, here, we’re seeing surface level, that’s what it looks like. It is more so about Anakin’s selfishness. It is more so about Anakin’s promise to himself and his mother that he would never allow this to happen again as an inferiority to his own abilities and power, which he blames on the Jedi.”
He continues, “It is more so about Anakin’s need for control and his need to always control the outcome, control things, and his selfishness for greater power not so much necessarily save Padme.”

Leishman reacted with rage at Star Wars Theory for simply correcting her lies. She posted on X, “Ohhhhhh Star Wars Theory decided to do a ‘reaction’ video to my interview because if he isn’t f***ing grifting off of Star Wars, he’s grifting off of women and sending his minions after them.”
She added, “F*** off and go build some faulty lightsabers while crying on camera.”

She continued, “to be clear: I really don’t give a f***. anyone who resorts to calling a woman a ‘cow’ because of a star wars show is literally pathetic. I just didn’t understand why i’ve had to delete 100s of comments all of the sudden and it’s because of this jagoff.”
“I guess if I also had no neck, no rizz, looked like a box, and had a shitty personality I would grift off others and hate on them…actually I wouldn’t cause I am a nice person. I also benefit from my winning personality and hot bod, unlike Star Wars Theory,” she concluded.

Based upon a viewing of the video, Theory does not use the term “cow” at all. He also did not use it in his livestream where he briefly touched on the interview as well.
The term “cow” also does not appear in the comments of the original interview video on The Mary Sue’s YouTube channel.

In fact, Leishman would later reveal she did not watch Theory’s videos at all.
She wrote, “I mean this with the utmost respect: do you think I watched that s***? All his ‘fans’ have been leaving incredibly gross comments on my interview of that he said so.”
