She Was Framed! Alec Baldwin’s Fatal Shooting Gets Weird

Maybe it’s because it happened in the entertainment industry. Maybe all they know is drama? Whatever the case may be, you have to give it to the attorneys for Hannah Gutierrez Reed. The latest defense for the twenty-four year old armorer — with an “interesting” social media presence — is to say that she was literally sabotaged. That’s right, somebody put a live bullet into a gun she handed off without her knowledge. That would, of course, ignore her responsibility to check the gun and its chamber before handing it off, and it would also ignore the assistant director who didn’t check the gun, followed up by Alec Baldwin’s responsibility to not point a gun of any type at another human being and pull the trigger.

Whew. I suppose you could say that’s a lot of things to ignore!

Who are we to say, though, here at That Park Place, that Gutierrez Reed wasn’t framed? It would have to be a heck of a scheme though. The saboteur would have needed to secretly put a live bullet in the “dummy rounds”, knowing that the bullet would be undetected, loaded into a “prop” gun, handed to an actor, and that the gun would be fired. That’s one impressive series of events for the devious mystery person who caused the untimely death of an innocent woman.

Just out of curiosity though… shouldn’t Gutierrez Reed have known the difference in a live round and a blank when she loaded the gun?

But lead actor and production owner, Alec Baldwin, doesn’t appear to be acting any more sanely. You probably saw him interviewed in a wooded area where he was shopping in a nearby town with his family. Why? Why would he not just go to Montana or Wyoming and disappear for a while? It’s literally bonkers to have killed a woman, then go out shopping with your family as the entire nation is following the situation. But then to give an impromptu interview as well? That’s some serious chutzpah. He even went so far as to speak curtly with his wife who was trying to keep him from answering questions.

So how much weirder can this horrible tragedy get? Who knows… but whatever happens, we’ll be covering it here at That Park Place. Let us know in the comments below how you feel about the story and the bizarre behaviors of all those involved.
