Deadline and Samba TV are confirming our exclusive reporting from November 27th that ratings for the Disney+ exclusive, Marvel’s Hawkeye, are low. This marks two major exclusives proven correct for That Park Place author, WDW Pro, in the past two weeks. First, the author reported that Kathleen Kennedy had been renewed at Lucasfilm… all the way back in September. This was then confirmed in November. Now, we’re seeing that WDW Pro had the Hawkeye ratings correct before anyone else as well. That Park Place is proud to be a location readers can find information earlier than other sites — we’re happy to be a go-to resource for those who want to know what’s about to be news everywhere else.

You can imagine that Disney and Marvel are looking at current Hawkeye numbers with real worry that the Marvel golden goose has caught something bad that it just can’t shake. The fervor that we saw within the fanbase up until Thanos’ defeat has been snapped away from a company that benefited greatly from worldwide fan zeal. — WDW Pro

Confirmation of the low Hawkeye ratings comes courtesy of ComicBook.com and Looper:

Looper Reports on Samba TV Findings for Hawkeye

According to Deadline, Samba TV measured the viewing figures for the two “Hawkeye” premiere episodes and found that they debuted 40% lower than “Loki,” reaching only 1.5 million households. According to the report, that debut also puts it behind Loki’s finale, which pulled 1.9 million households by the same analysis. It’s important to once again note that Disney+ does not reveal official viewing figures, and that Samba TV only analyzes a 3 million-household sample to reach its conclusions. That said, Samba’s numbers earn “Hawkeye” an ignominious distinction as the least-watched Marvel Disney+ series so far. — Corey Hoffmeyer

Does this signal more towards WDW Pro being correct in a rumored scoop that The Walt Disney Company CEO, Bob Chapek, wants to return to more mainline characters like Ironman and Luke Skywalker in future Disney releases?

Rumor: Bob Chapek Wants Ironman and Luke Skywalker… Now

Youtuber Yellow Flash, who has covered WDW Pro’s reports in the past, has his own analysis of the situation:

That Park Place makes no prediction as to how future ratings for Hawkeye will go. Perhaps this the best Marvel series on Disney+ yet and we just have not gotten to those revolutionary episodes at this time. Can the series rebound? Will viewers return? And as for Yellow Flash’s thoughts, they are his own, but certainly something to ponder. Is the Marvel decline due to some sort of gender issue?

For answers to all of that, keep checking out the latest on theme parks, entertainment, movies, games, and more, at That Park Place!

Replacing Hawkeye with basically the Hunger Games’ Katniss was a bad idea. Having Hawkeye’s daughter in the show is fine, but she should have her own unique abilities that don’t involve a bow and arrow (which is basically overdone at this point for female characters).
