You may be planning a trip to Walt Disney World soon, but if you’re not fully aware of all the hidden costs, your budget could be very far from accurate. Have you considered the fees associated with parking at the hotel? What about the minimum $25 for parking at the theme parks? And what about the new Fastpass system called Genie+ and Lightning Lanes, which can easily add $100 a day (or more) for families?
Disney’s current model is to keep daily ticket prices at a seemingly sane $110 per day, but then add nearly-unavoidable fees on top. The result is a Disney World vacation that looks, at first glance, to be affordable for many families… but leaves empty bank accounts once back at home.
