Universal Studios Hollywood in California is offering a limited-time discount on annual passes, signaling that the theme park may be having difficulty bringing people back during the upcoming third year of the pandemic. This isn’t surprising given the cultural, political, and social difference in response to the pandemic we see in California versus Florida. Universal Studios Orlando, for example, is not offering a discount and likely is not having difficulty in attracting annual passholders.
From the OC Register:
To kick off the New Year, Universal Studios Hollywood is offering discounts of up to $50 off its annual passes for a limited time.
Platinum passes are currently $479 (a $50 discount); gold passes are $259 (a $20 discount); $184 for the silver passes (a $15 discount); and $149 for the California Neighbor passes (a $10 discount) through April 7 online at universalstudioshollywood.com.
