Yellowstone has become quite the family favorite in the Golf household. We had seen advertisements of Yellowstone for the past few years. Paramount Network was not offered with our digital streaming account so we replaced it with DirecTV Stream, which did provide it. It was family that insisted we watch the program and to binge watch the previous seasons prior to Season 4 arriving in October. We watched all three seasons and we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new season. The Season three finale was one to remember.
Season 4
The story line of each one of the Dutton family members is interesting as they go separately in their own unique ways. However, all of their individual circumstances seem to lead back to the patriarch, John Dutton. Whether good or bad, John Dutton gets brought into each of their life decisions. Maybe it’s because everything that happens to each one focuses on the future success of the Dutton Ranch. The season 4 finale leaves a lot of folks wondering about next season.
Season 5
With Season 4 in the books, can we expect to see a Season 5? No announcement has been given about a Season 5. With the success of this show’s ratings continuing to climb, you can expect an announcement should be coming very soon. According to writer Selena Barrientos of Good Housekeeping, “Though there hasn’t been any word from TV executives, actor Cole Hauser, who plays Rip, has pretty much confirmed season 5 of Yellowstone will happen. Speaking at a virtual event in March 2021, he opened up about what was happening behind the scenes.” This is exciting news for Yellowstone fans.
6666
This a spinoff from Yellowstone and only streaming on Paramount+. We were introduced to this Texas ranch, called the 6’s, as Jimmy, played by Jefferson White, was sent off to the 6666 to learn how to be a cowboy. He left early in Season 4 and returned before the end of the season. I look forward to watching this show so I can get a little more background on the 6666 ranch.
1883
This is a prequel to the Yellowstone beginning. The show is only shown by streaming on Paramount+, however, the premier did show on Paramount following an episode of Yellowstone. Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliot and Billy Bob Thornton are a few of the most recognizable names that are in this series. The first 4 episodes have afforded me the opportunity to think about just how difficult it was to live and thrive back in those days as the expansion westward was taking place. Loving the story lines in this new series and hoping it continues for many seasons.
Yellowstone Branches
The many different storylines should open up more avenues of new series for Paramount. I could see Beth Dutton having a show of her own along with Rip’s own show. viewers should stay tuned!
