“Spaceship Earth will be painted nightly in a spectrum of light. As the festival celebrates the artistry of the world, color and imagination play an important role and the latest Spaceship Earth lighting design reflects those ideas. The core values of EPCOT and the optimistic symbolism of Spaceship Earth are perfectly complemented by The Muppets singing “Rainbow Connection” with this new look.
The new nightly feature uses the lighting array added to Spaceship Earth for the 50th Anniversary celebration. Rainbow Connection is the song made famous by Kermit the Frog performed by Jim Henson.
That Park Place will be sending a staff member over to capture the display in video form. The feature can be seen during the current Epcot festival… no word yet on whether it will continue later into the year.
