She-Hulk actress Tatiana Maslany recently expressed a desire to join the cast of Daredevil: Born Again.
With Daredevil: Born Again set to hit Disney+ on March 4, excitement for Marvel’s return to gritty, grounded storytelling is at an all-time high. The trailer has already made waves, pulling in 15 million views, with 582,000 likes and only 3,800 dislikes—numbers that dwarf the reception of Marvel’s recent offerings like Echo and Agatha All Along, which struggled to capture audience interest. But now, She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany has thrown her hat in the ring, expressing her eagerness to join the upcoming Daredevil series.
And fans? Well, they’re not exactly thrilled.

While promoting her latest project, The Monkey, Maslany was asked by Screen Rant whether she’d like to reprise her role as Jennifer Walters, AKA She-Hulk, in Daredevil: Born Again.
“Would I be born again? I mean, absolutely,” she responded, calling Charlie Cox’s Daredevil “fun” to work with and praising his ability to adapt to different tones. When pressed on whether She-Hulk could fit into the darker, more serious world of Born Again, Maslany claimed, “I have a lot of serious bones in my body.”
Unfortunately for Maslany, Marvel seems to have other plans.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law bombed with fans, who were left baffled by its goofy tone, cringeworthy writing, and infamous twerking scene with Megan Thee Stallion. The backlash was swift and severe, leading Disney+ to quietly remove She-Hulk from its Marvel banner—an unmistakable signal that the studio is ready to move on. With no plans for a second season, it’s safe to say the MCU is leaving Jennifer Walters behind.
This rejection aligns with Marvel’s recent shift, as seen with Daredevil: Born Again. Unlike She-Hulk and Echo, which embraced identity politics and lighthearted tones, Born Again promises a return to the darker, grittier storytelling that defined the original Netflix Daredevil series. The Born Again trailer alone set the tone with brutal action sequences, including a particularly memorable shot of Daredevil breaking an opponent’s leg. The show’s TV-MA rating further cements its commitment to mature themes and violence, something that fans have been clamoring for amid Marvel’s identity-politics fatigue.
Even Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane is steering clear of the She-Hulk baggage. In a recent interview, he confirmed that Born Again will ignore She-Hulk entirely, particularly the much-maligned one-night stand between Daredevil and Jennifer Walters.

“Some of [those events] we are not leaning into,” Scardapane stated bluntly, adding that he has “plenty of leeway” to focus on a Daredevil that aligns with fan expectations rather than recent MCU missteps.
The contrast between Daredevil: Born Again and She-Hulk couldn’t be clearer. While She-Hulk leaned heavily into fourth-wall-breaking humor and shallow commentary, Born Again is doubling down on raw, character-driven narratives. With Echo and Agatha All Along already failing to resonate, Marvel seems to have finally realized that audiences want real stories, real stakes, and real heroes—not gimmicks and cheap laughs.

So while Tatiana Maslany may be ready to return, it’s clear that Marvel—and more importantly, the fans—are ready to leave her and the She-Hulk debacle in the past.

“But I mocked the fans! Why don’t the fans want me? It worked in that Lifetime movie where the woman treated the man like garbage and then he showed her respect…”
I want them to add her, but I’m rooting for the destruction of the MCU.
She could show up, go back to Marvel studios and whine that Daredevil had to deal with an enemy, and just have no climax to everything like I’m told happened in her show.
Maslany had her chance and she blew it like the Karen she is. Instead of acting with any ounce of class and respect, she jumped on the bandwagon to badmouth men and the fans when everyone except elite liberal women knew She-Hulk was going to fail miserably.
If person A hates type B of people, then type B won’t be interested in any creative material that person A makes.
This should be obvious. Someone in the KkK won’t make any content that black people like.
I’m sadly amazed at type B’s insistence to continually bankroll group a due to sheer ignorance and a lack of curiosity though. Which is why the lefties are smart. They cultivate the apathy of the general herd. So many good meaning people are the ultimate reason we’re in this cultural predicament that gained wheels over the past decade. Dummy dad’s just falling in line because they’re pussys and refuse to stand for anything. We’ve become a nation of dinks. Pure, plain, and simple. Most American men are dinks now. Not all. But most. Dinks.
Dinks.
Dinks.
I expect that people will look back at this point in time and use it as a huge suggestion of what NOT to do.
I sure hope so. We’re just so unfortunately ‘in the moment’ it’s hard to see the prospective “future analysis” that will hopefully condemn this era. Opinions always swing, epically between the two primary beliefs of conservatism and liberalism. We still seem so deep in the mire of liberalism, that it’s hard to see any swing to the other side of the pendulum. disney is mired in iger’s leadership that I see no chink in the armor that would lead to their changing course. Like Musk said, disney ain’t no apple with a worm. It’s a ball of worms, thinly veiled beneath an apple’s skin.
See, last time around, when the church figured that gay people would want to change around children’s programming, the usual response was outrage and calls of bigotry , that they’d never do that.
Now, we have the receipts, so we can expect that the next time things spin around, it’ll never happen again.
Always. The ones that chirp the most are the ones that do not want to be exposed as exactly what we know them to be. Always.
Maslany can shove off. I have very little confidence that Born Again will actually be good, since Disney has yet to prove that they can make a good Marvel show. But her being involved in any capacity will not bode well for the show. Mark my words.
I predict that Born Again will bring in some character that wasn’t in the trailer and starts out as a side character but quickly takes over as the star of the show. Classic bait and switch. The “born again” part will probably be a reference to her.
I mean, I refuse to watch anything disney, regardless. I’m hearing that this dd show supposedly did some 180 deg. course correction, yet mine eyes shall never gaze it. Never. My son is the same way. Girls used to care but since I no longer do, they have absolutely no reason to either. It’s post on here randomly because I pour over a lot of websites due to my curious nature, but I’m counted firmly in the apathetic category. I only chime I hear every once and again due to my passion to see bob iger and kathleen kennedy’s demise.
I want them, god I want them to suffer humiliation. I want them both go down in the annals as the abject failures they truly are. Sadly, I think the only thing keeping me going in these posts is the fact that they are both still employed, raking in millions, inspite of being text-book cases of what not to do in business school.
Maybe if she got naked. But,… nah.
