The legal battle between Blake Lively and It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni continues to spiral, and it may soon drag some of Hollywood’s biggest names into the fray. Sources now say Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman are likely to be subpoenaed as witnesses in the growing clash between the former colleagues.

Lively, who originally filed her lawsuit quietly under the pseudonym “Vanzan Inc.” in September 2024, accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment during the film’s production and claims he retaliated by launching a behind-the-scenes smear campaign. Her legal team alleges they uncovered internal messages showing a coordinated effort to “destroy” her reputation.

“This lawsuit has uncovered the Wayfarer Parties’ documented plan — in their own words, in their texts — to ‘destroy’ Blake Lively,” her attorneys stated, adding that the communications reveal a campaign carried out “in a manner they believed was ‘untraceable.’”

Baldoni has denied the accusations and countered with a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist. His legal team contends that the complaints are part of a broader scheme to seize creative control over a film where Lively had no contractual authority.

As the case heats up, Taylor Swift’s name has surfaced. Due to her close relationship with Lively, sources say she could be subpoenaed to testify about her involvement during the movie’s production. Lively previously acknowledged Swift’s influence, saying, “She was with me throughout this whole process, so I think that, for better or worse, she experienced the whole thing with me.”

Swift’s potential testimony could prove highly consequential — or raise further questions about just how deep her off-screen involvement went.

Also reportedly in the crosshairs with Swift is Hugh Jackman, another close friend of Reynolds. Jackman’s connection to the case appears more circumstantial, but with the allegations stretching beyond workplace behavior into accusations of retaliatory public campaigns, even peripheral witnesses could face scrutiny.

The trial is set for March 9, 2026, and the possible inclusion of Swift and Jackman is already turning what was a contained dispute into a Hollywood spectacle.
This latest twist adds another layer to an increasingly ugly feud. It comes just as scrutiny around Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of “Nicepool” in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine has intensified. Fans have drawn comparisons between Baldoni and the satirical character, especially after a deleted scene showed Nicepool joking about launching a podcast to “monetize the women’s movement” — a not-so-subtle nod many believe mirrors Baldoni’s real-world “Man Enough” podcast.

Reynolds’ legal team has not exactly denied the connection, calling Baldoni’s outrage over the character “thin-skinned.”

With subpoenas looming and reputations on the line, what began as a workplace dispute has ballooned into a public spectacle implicating major entertainment figures. Whether Swift and Jackman will end up testifying — and what impact their testimonies could have — remains to be seen. What’s clear is that this battle shows no sign of quietly fading away.
