Rowling is turning into a cautionary tale: she got woke and alienated the Right, then she broke with The Message and alienated the Left. Partisans have an overwhelming mentality of “with us or against us.” There’s no middle ground with them and most are blowhards who don’t practice what they preach.
The only winning move is to keep your mouth shut and simply act. Don’t publicly side with either, just do what’s necessary to live and protect your own. Because no matter what, only the tiniest of minorities are zealous enough to truly fit their molds all the time. Once either or all find out you’re not 100% in lockstep with them, they’ll clamor for your head on a platter.
In the fog of the modern age: an increasingly unlikeable creator has thrown her weight behind an increasingly unlikeable replacement for the solid movies, that were just made, relatively speaking.
Nothing made now even moves the needle. Although, I do want to get all the clan together to see “Sinners”. On Demand now, sadly, since I couldn’t wrangle everyone together, to see it in the theater. Time just got away from us. My
Amazon are hell-bent on destroying traditional WHITE IPs. It has the money to do it, and this is pure spite. Rowling should be ashamed of herself, because, one word from her, and they’d recast, out of fear. She’s female after all, so, in their eyes, ticks a DEI box.
