This article takes no position on Canadian politics, vaccine mandates, health decisions, protest validity, or Canadian law. That Park Place is a news and rumor website covering entertainment, including topics on streaming.
Today, it appears that Canadian police are arresting citizen journalists streaming content onto YouTube regarding the situation around Ottawa. In fact, those arrests appear to be happening live and on stream. From watching the stream, we can’t discern any law that the citizen journalists are breaking. Each day for the past weeks, tens and even hundreds of thousands of viewers have watched the Trucker Protest in Ottawa via these citizen journalists and YouTube streamers. However, it appears today they are being taken to jail for providing this service to Canadians and to the world.
While That Park Place takes no position on the items listed at the top of this article, we do STRONGLY condemn attacks on journalists, citizen journalists, and censorship of those reporting the news.
All media who are attending the area, please keep a distance and stay out of police operations for your safety. Anyone found within areas undergoing enforcement may be subject to arrest. There will be a media availability later today at 474 Elgin Street. #ottnews

Under EA, police have no authority to arrest anyone who “resides, works or is moving through that area for reasons other than to participate in or facilitate the assembly.” The same force that failed to enforce laws for three weeks, now threatens to illegally arrest journalists.
