Something strange is happening at Magic Kingdom. Is it computer issues? Are there electrical problems taking place? There’s no official word as of yet from Disney World, but whatever is happening is causing attractions all over Magic Kingdom to go down. Even when some of the attractions are able to open, many are going back down again shortly thereafter, complete with guest evacuations.

WDWNT has a rundown of all the attractions that are being affected. At this time the issue seems to be isolated to the Magic Kingdom theme park and not affected Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. What is so weird about this problem today is seeing rides like People Mover and Splash Mountain suffering similar issues… those are totally different ride systems that share very little in common. Since power is not out at the park, it’s hard to say what is causing this disruption.

What in the world would Liberty Square Riverboat have in common with other attractions?!

Park Twister is claiming a power outage is the culprit, but that doesn’t seem obvious from some of the issues we’re seeing:

Once we get a definitive answer, we’ll be sure to come back with the answer as to what is going on. Could it be a power issue? Sure. However, it seems odd that some attractions were down this morning, while others were not, then attractions starting to come online while others went back down. It’s odd.

This is a breaking news story. We will update as more information becomes available.
