Permit filings show that Walt Disney Imagineering is moving ahead with a snack kiosk addition in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The documents confirm that Disney is expanding guest amenities in that part of the park.
A Notice of Commencement has been filed for 149 Ascot Drive in Lake Buena Vista. The listed address corresponds to a site within Toy Story Land, near the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The proposed location for the kiosk is adjacent to the restroom building and across from Alien Swirling Saucers. That area aligns with the former position of the Toy Story Land marquee, which was removed around July 2025.

Construction walls and scrims have surrounded the site for several weeks. These barriers have expanded gradually over time.
The permit describes the work as “installation of set elements,” a phrase often used in Disney’s early-stage filings. This typically refers to themed façades or decorative features, rather than basic construction alone. It also names Mecca Productions, Inc. as the contractor and gives the work a one-year term.
Previous permits in the same area also named Icarus Exhibits and Aim Strategic Group for related tasks.
Disney has not released any public statements confirming the Toy Story snack kiosk, its food offerings, or its eventual name.
Context
If implemented, the new snack kiosk would increase the number of quick‑access food options in Toy Story Land. This area currently supports two main dining operations: Woody’s Lunch Box (quick service) and Roundup Rodeo BBQ (table service), which opened in 2023. The recent expansion of seating around Woody’s Lunch Box has increased capacity, but some reports suggest that demand still strains the available quick‑service infrastructure.

Some observers interpret the kiosk as a means to alleviate congestion and provide more grab‑and‑go options in a high‑traffic section of the park. Notably, additional construction walls have appeared near the Toy Story Land–Galaxy’s Edge transition area, including zones formerly used for temporary seating. Those walls lie just steps away from the kiosk’s permit site and suggest that part of the adjacent area might be reworked to support guest flow or seating.
No confirmed timeline exists beyond the one‑year permit window. If work proceeds on schedule, the project could complete sometime in 2026, barring delays.

In coming months, additional permits, site drawings, or an official announcement could clarify architectural design, menu offerings, or opening an date.
