There’s Finally a Marvel Studios VisionQuest Trailer, and You Can’t See It… Yet

At this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC), Marvel Studios delivered one of the most buzzed-about moments of the event: the unveiling of the first trailer for their upcoming streaming series VisionQuest. But for all the excitement generated in the Javits Center, one thing remains glaringly absent — the trailer hasn’t yet been released publicly.

The Big Moment at NYCC

During the Marvel Television & Animation panel at NYCC 2025, the studio presented exclusive footage of VisionQuest — and attendees were treated to the trailer well before any wider release.  The VisionQuest trailer reportedly featured familiar names and surprising story beats: Paul Bettany returns as the White Vision, and James Spader resists his annihilation by coming back as Ultron — in both robot and human‐form versions.

Charlie of the YouTube Channel “Emergency Awesome” breaks down the trailer revealed at NYCC in this video:

The footage also introduced human counterparts of Tony Stark’s AIs (such as J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H.) and gave a first glimpse of Ruaridh Mollica’s version of Tommy Shepherd, aka “Speed” (one of Wanda and Vision’s twins).

According to Aeron Mer Eclarinal of The Direct, the tone was mysterious and introspective as he wrote, “The trailer also had the same eerie tone as WandaVision’s trailers, with some attendees describing it as Vision living in a simulation in his head.”

Why Hasn’t Marvel Made The Trailer Public?

Despite the trailer’s reveal at the con, Marvel has not made it available to the general public online. Several outlets note that the footage was shown exclusively during the panel, with Marvel teasing a “stay tuned for global release” note in their press coverage. Oddly, Marvel did release a teaser trailer for the much less talked about Wonder Man, which has seen just over 4.2 million views.

That count pails in comparison to the 25 million view count of the original “WandaVision” trailer on YouTube.

Possible reasons for withholding the trailer from public release could include:

  • Controlled rollout strategy: Marvel may be staging the trailer’s reveal in phased fashion — first to industry / fan-event attendees, then later to the broader public in line with marketing strategy.
  • Series is still early: The series is slated for a 2026 release on Disney + and might not yet be ready for a wide trailer drop in terms of polished marketing assets.
  • Exclusivity for the event: Showing the trailer only at NYCC gives the convention extra value and builds word-of-mouth among superfans.
  • Versioning / approvals: There may be rights, special effects, or finalization issues requiring the trailer to be held until all clearances are complete.
  • Fear of backlash: The MCU has had a string of misses lately both at the box office and on Disney Plus. Captain America Brave New World, The Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps all underperformed. Even Disney+ picking up the popular Daredevil series from where it left off with Netflix was met with meager viewership. Perhaps Kevin Feige and the team and Marvel are attempting a release strategy that isn’t met with online backlash in the wake of these failures.

Whatever the reason, the result is that NYCC attendees got the first peak at the VisionQuest trailer while the rest of the world waits.

What the Trailer Suggests About the Series

From the hints that emerged during the panel, VisionQuest appears to be tackling one of the more philosophically rich arcs in the MCU’s TV slate. According to Mark Cassidy as reported in ComicBookMovie.com, at the LA Comic Con Bettany described the show as being about “intergenerational trauma… fathers and sons and denial of pain and denial of your own truth.”

Vision touches White Vision

The trailer’s visuals — a mansion-like mind space where Vision confronts human-ified AI and faces off against Ultron — suggest that this will be more of an internal, largely psychological journey than a straight-up superhero spectacle.  For example, one clip reportedly shows White Vision being greeted by human versions of J.A.R.V.I.S.,  F.R.I.D.A.Y., and even E.D I T.H., as he walks into a pristine white space and wrestles with his identity.

It’s also being billed as the conclusion of the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along. At the NYCC event, Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum described VisionQuest as the “final piece” of that arc.

What’s Next & When Will the Trailer Drop?

While no official date has been given, here’s what we know:

VisionQuest is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2026. Marvel’s marketing machinery will likely ramp up in the next few months with additional teasers, official posters, or behind-the-scenes reveals.

The public trailer drop may coincide with a major Marvel event (for example, a Disney studio showcase, or the upfront). For now, fans who attended NYCC got a special peek — and the rest of the world will likely have to wait a bit longer.

Conclusion

The reveal of Marvel’s VisionQuest trailer at NYCC 2025 exemplifies Marvel’s event-first approach to big content drops: exclusive footage for superfans, attempted buzz generation, and then a slow drip to the wider audience. While back in the MCU’s “heyday” this may have been frustrating for fans who weren’t on the floor in New York, it’s an outdated marketing strategy that no longer feels justified given Marvel’s diminished relevancy in pop culture.

As the countdown to the public VisionQuest trailer begins, the few diehard MCU fans that are still left will be watching closely. From what we’ve seen in the past several years, however, most have moved on. For now, the trailer remains a NYCC exclusive — a vision seen by a few, but not yet fully shared with all.

Yawn. The Vision and Wanda arc may be one of the worst of the MCU and was the beginning of the end.

“Fear of backlash” – Woke Disney will always suffer backlash. Because it is woke, it is DEI, and we will continue destroy it with our votes and comments, calling it out. FO Disney and your M-She-U gayness.
