As of October 12, 2025, the Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially ended. This marks a shift in the restaurant’s offerings, as it now provides Minnie’s Seasonal Dining for all meal periods throughout the day.

The change reflects a broader adjustment in character dining experiences within the park.

Transition to Minnie’s Seasonal Dining

Hollywood & Vine previously hosted the Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine breakfast, which featured characters from popular Disney Junior series. Characters such as Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Goofy appeared regularly, interacted with guests, particularly families with young children.

With the end of the Disney Junior breakfast, these characters are no longer part of the morning dining experience at Hollywood & Vine. Instead, the venue now offers Minnie’s Seasonal Dining during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This dining experience features classic Disney characters including Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto.

Themed meals vary seasonally, with events such as Halloween Dine and Holiday Dine taking place at different times of the year. For instance, the Halloween Dine theme is currently running through November 5, 2025. These seasonal dining themes include specific decorations and menu items aligned with the event’s theme.

Broader Changes at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The discontinuation of the Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine breakfast is part of wider changes occurring at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On September 25, 2025, the Disney Junior Play and Dance! show, held at Animation Courtyard, closed permanently. This closure makes way for the new Magic of Disney Animation, set to open in 2026.

Disney has not announced a replacement show for the Disney Junior Play and Dance! at Animation Courtyard, though some speculate that the meet and greets may return when the new Animation Courtyard opens. However, it is also possible that this is the end of regular appearances to some of this preschool-age favorites. Without any official plans released, that remains to be seen.

Impact on Guests and Planning Considerations

Minnie’s Seasonal Dining offers interactions with more traditional Disney characters and features rotating seasonal themes that add variety to the experience throughout the year. However, guests seeking Disney Junior characters at breakfast will need to adjust their plans accordingly.

Guests planning trips to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and interested in character dining experiences should verify the current offerings on the official Walt Disney World website. These offerings can change with little notice, especially around seasonal events or park-wide adjustments.

We loved this buffet back before characters. Went later, not realizing they added characters, and it was a living hell. And the food was not good.
