Didn’t Gunn call his fans “WAYCISTS”?
Well, guess what? The demographic that is NOT WOKE is the very audience for action / sci-fi / fantasy / superhero shows.
I guess, when you tell your audience you hate us, then we give you the middle finger right back, and we leg it to watch old shows, that are not PC, and were, you know, really well written, starring a higher % of European-race White people, white people who were not universally demonised and humiliated. In general, great-looking actors and actresses, and which are entertaining, and have grit and heart.
And shows that did not try to trans your kids.

Even low-budget straight-to-video 80s movies have a wonderful charm, creativity, and intelligence, that modern, soulless, HR-produced, corporate shows utterly lack.
There is so much on Pirate Bay that can be watched, with no ads, no DRM, it’s a treasure trove of culture, cult movies, and sheer fun.
And the world, back then, looked more interesting. And was more interesting.
The streets are more interesting, indoor decor and furniture more beautiful, and the jokes funnier, and dialog edgier, because, back then, no one gave a monkeys if you got offended.
Boy, I hope he didn’t let his ego run wild and do something really dumb like prematurely patting himself on the back and making this show a pivot point of the whole DCU.
Naw, he seems smart and humble enough to avoid cratering the future of the future movie and TV shows through such a monumentally stupid move. After all, if he dooms the DCU because of his vanity project he wouldn’t be able to exercise his nepotistic tendencies and keep his wife, brother, and special friends employed.
Geez WB. You saw what he did with Suicide Squad and the Creature Commandos. Gunn’s limitations were on full display.
Gunn is one of those people who lets his hype go to his head. He honestly believes that he’s the magnificent genius his cultists think he is.
