On November 7, 2025, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation confirmed that it will start to close or sell more of its theme parks as part of a strategic portfolio review.

During the company’s third-quarter earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Brian Witherow explained that the company is categorizing its parks into “core” and “non-core” assets and intends to monetize the latter.
