An unidentified guest entered a restricted landscape area and dipped her hands and feet in a decorative stream at EPCOT, on February 16, 2026.

A video shared on Instagram by user @therideview (Jonathan) shows the individual climbing past a rail into Victoria Gardens at the Canada Pavilion. The clip appears to show the person removing at least one shoe and placing her hands and feet into the stream water that flows through the garden area.

In the social media post where the video was shared, the contributor stated that Cast Members and security personnel responded quickly after becoming aware of the situation, and that the matter was resolved without major disruption to other guests.

The video circulating online does not identify the guest or explain their motive for entering the area. At this time, there are no public statements from Disney officials or local law enforcement about the incident.

Context

Victoria Gardens at the Canada Pavilion is a decorative landscaped space featuring a small stream surrounded by flower beds and stonework. The area is intended for visual enjoyment from walkways and bridges, not for guest entry. Barriers and railings are positioned to delineate public pathways from restricted zones. Park rules prohibit guests from climbing over these boundaries.

Decorative water features in theme parks are generally not designed for recreational use. Such features often contain treatment chemicals and hidden equipment that could pose hazards if touched or entered by visitors. This context applies broadly across Disney parks but has not been directly confirmed by a resort spokesperson in connection with this specific event.

Unauthorized entry into restricted areas at theme parks can sometimes lead to enforcement actions. Park rules typically allow Cast Members and security personnel to issue warnings, remove guests from the premises, or impose longer bans depending on the nature of the violation and guest cooperation. Disney’s published policies state that guests must stay on designated pathways and respect posted boundaries, though no official summary of consequences linked to this particular incident has been released.

There have been documented episodes in the past where theme park visitors have gone into decorative water areas at Disney parks for stunts or photos, including instances of people jumping into lagoon or fountain areas at EPCOT.

As of the latest available reporting, there is no update on what happened to the guest. Cast Members stationed throughout EPCOT encourage adherence to safety barriers and restricted zones for both guest well-being and the preservation of the park’s landscaped areas.
