While gamers wait for Grand Theft Auto VI to open for pre-orders, they now have some idea of how much the game may cost. For months, online speculation has suggested that the latest entry in the iconic franchise could exceed $100. However, in an interview with The Game Business, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive (parent company of Rockstar Games), indicated a more conventional price range for GTA VI of $70–$80.

Zelnick was asked whether Take-Two had considered inserting advertisements into pause menus or loading screens. He responded, “For free-to-play titles, yes. For titles for which you’ve paid 70 or 80 bucks? No.”

While he did not explicitly confirm a final price for GTA VI, his framing of the discussion around the $70–$80 range is being interpreted by some as a signal that the game will launch in line with standard AAA pricing, rather than breaking into higher, unprecedented price tiers.

Cost Beyond the Base Game

That said, GTA VI will likely be offered in higher-priced editions for players who opt for deluxe or premium versions. In addition, hardware demands may require further investment. The game is expected to launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in November 2026, while a release date for the PC version has not yet been announced.

For players who have not yet upgraded their consoles, this could mean a significant additional cost before they are able to experience the long-awaited new installment.

A Long Road to Release

GTA VI has reportedly been in development since 2014, with Rockstar confirming active development in 2022. Initially targeted for a fall 2025 release, the game has since been delayed twice. Its unusually long development cycle, combined with rumors that production costs may range between $1 billion and $2 billion, has fueled speculation that some of these expenses could ultimately be reflected in the game’s retail price.

In 2022, additional rumors suggested that the game might scale back the offensive humor and violent gameplay elements that have long defined the franchise. However, a trailer released in May 2025 appeared to reaffirm that GTA VI would remain consistent with fan expectations. While it did not showcase extensive gameplay, the cinematic footage offered a glimpse into the game’s story and characters.

Like previous installments, the game will be an open-world action-adventure title. Its story reportedly follows a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style criminal duo set in a Miami-inspired environment. The world is filled with the series’ familiar hallmarks—fast cars, nightlife, firearms, and a neon-soaked atmosphere shaped by music, excess, and crime—essentially, a Grand Theft Auto experience.

The Real Question Behind the Price

Ultimately, the conversation around Grand Theft Auto VI isn’t just about what’s in the game, but what players will have to pay to get their hands on it—and whether it will feel worth the long wait. As anticipation builds for pre-orders and an official word on price, Take-Two’s latest comments suggest GTA VI likely won’t reach the extreme levels some had feared, keeping it closer to the standard cost of a major new release.

In the end, GTA VI sits at the intersection of expectation and price, where years of anticipation, rising development costs, and franchise legacy all meet the simple question of what players are willing to pay on day one.

How to you feel about the potential price of $70-$80 for GTA VI? Will you be buying it on day one? Let us know in the comments!

Cancerous nuclear (((BlackRock)))-sponsored JuDEIst brainrot-fest on the way. It doesn’t matter what it will cost. For the brain dead goyim normie fags who don’t know what hits them, they would literally sell their homes just so that they could “play” this garbage while they don’t even know (nor even *care*) about the shady JuDEIst brainrot that secretly awaits them.

Once again let me reiterate, did you guys not see the trailer as we all did to not be able to tell what this upcoming brainrot cancer will be like? This is literally not a game, it’s a JuDEIst nuclear brainrot bomb that is about to be unleashed to the billions of brain dead goyim masses on our planet. The subversive JuDEIst subhumans at (((BlackRock))) surely wouldn’t let a mainstream franchise like GTA slide through without taking the opportunity to rot it to the fullest before unleashing this JuDEIst anal feces to rot the brain dead goyim masses’ “brains” till it smells like sewers.

Stay safe everyone. And if you have brain dead normie fags living close to you, whether they’re your neighbors or living close to your home, make sure to stay the fuck away from them just shortly around a month before this cancer ultimately releases or else they’ll probably do whatever criminal behavior this cancer indoctrinates them into believing. “hUrR dUrR, i sAw hOw tO tIe a nOoSe oN sOmEoNe aS a pRaNk oN gTa sEx, sO i tHoUgHt iT wOuLd bE cOoL tO dO tHaT tO mY nEiGhBoRs aNd mY fRiEnDs, hAhA!!!”

Faggots.

$100+ that I’ll be saving. I’d rather spend that money on a 1000 piece Trumpeter model kit of a cool military vehicle.
