The Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland - Disney

Disney is marking the United States’ 250th anniversary with new seasonal offerings at its domestic theme parks. Among the limited-time items is a Sam Eagle popcorn bucket at Disney parks, created for the America 250 celebration.

The collectible bucket features Sam Eagle, the patriotic Muppet character known for his red, white, and blue theme. Disney included the item in its official “Disney Celebrates America” Foodie Guide for summer 2026. Disneyland Resort will release the bucket on June 30, 2026. Walt Disney World Resort will also carry it, though the Florida release date has not been specified.

Guests may purchase up to two buckets per person per transaction. Disney has stated that availability will be limited while supplies last.

Seasonal Foods Across Both Coasts

The Sam Eagle popcorn bucket at Disney parks is part of a broader food lineup tied to the semiquincentennial. Both Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida are offering patriotic-themed menu items.

At Walt Disney World, several items debuted in mid-June 2026. Participating locations include theme parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs. Menu additions include Fourth of July beignets coated in cinnamon sugar and served with marshmallow dipping sauce. Other desserts include strawberry and lemon mousse cake.

EPCOT is also featuring specialty items for the anniversary. At Regal Eagle Smokehouse, guests can find a themed shortcake with berries and cream. Select outdoor kiosks across the park are offering limited-time beverages with red, white, and blue color schemes. EPCOT also includes a toasted marshmallow milkshake branded as “S’morin’ Across America.”

Disneyland Resort introduced its own America 250 treats earlier in the summer, including churro carts near Town Square are selling apple pie-inspired churros.

Part of a Larger Company Initiative

Disney is also supporting the semiquincentennial with broadcast programming across its media platforms. A 24-hour live stream is scheduled for July 3 through July 4, 2026. The program will feature live segments, performances, and historical features tied to the anniversary.

Disney parks will host ceremonial flag retreats and themed entertainment during the anniversary period. Disneyland previously incorporated LA Fleet Week programming into its America 250 schedule, including military band performances.

Collectibles and Holiday Merchandise

While the America 250 celebration centers on July 4, the related food and merchandise extend across several weeks. Disney continues to position its parks as part of the broader national observance.

The Sam Eagle popcorn bucket Disney is releasing for the semiquincentennial represents one element of a larger seasonal rollout. Disney guests can celebrate with themed snacks, limited-time collectibles, and televised event for the country’s 250th anniversary.
