A brush fire broke out on June 11, 2026, at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, in an area near the X2 roller coaster.
The fire started one a tree before spreading to more underneath the X2 Roller Coaster. Smoke became visible across parts of the park shortly after ignition. By the time it was put out, about a half acre was burned.
Fire Response and Containment Efforts
Fire crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after, just a little after noon.
Responders focused on containing flames in vegetation near the ride and preventing spread to nearby structures. Officials later confirmed that crews brought the fire under control the same afternoon within just over an hour.
