Disney has released a new collection of Indiana Jones merchandise, and one collectible includes an unexpected product warning.
The Disney Store is selling a ceramic Holy Grail replica inspired by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. While the collectible recreates the famous cup from the film, Disney makes it clear that the replica is designed for display rather than everyday use.
The product description includes a warning that reads, “Not for food use. Food or dink consumed from this vessel may be harmful.”

The description adds a little more humor to the item: “You’ll be excited to learn that your search for the Holy Grail has ended and, let’s face it, it was a little easier than the grueling one embarked upon by Indiana Jones in his very personal quest involving his father.”
Call Back to the Movie
The warning stands out because of the Grail’s role in the 1989 film. In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the Holy Grail grants eternal life to those who drink from the true cup under the proper conditions, as it is ”the chalice used by Jesus Christ during the last supper, the cup that caught his blood at the crucifixion and was entrusted to Joseph of Arimathea.”
Disney’s Indiana Jones Holy Grail replica, however, carries a notice advising customers not to use it as a drinking vessel.
The product page also states that the collectible is “not a toy” and is intended for adult collectors. The ceramic cup measures approximately six inches tall and comes in themed crate-style packaging.

Although the notice may seem unusual, warnings like this are common for decorative collectibles. Manufacturers often include them when an item’s materials or finish have not been approved for contact with food or beverages. The labels help distinguish display pieces from functional drinkware.
That practical warning creates an ironic contrast with the movie. One of the film’s best-known scenes centers on drinking from the correct Grail. The official Disney replica instead advises buyers to keep the cup on display rather than filling it with a beverage.
The Broader Collection
The Indiana Jones Holy Grail replica is part of a broader collection of merchandise available through Disney. The lineup also includes replica artifacts inspired by other films in the franchise, such as the Headpiece of the Staff of Ra from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Sankara Stones from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. In addition, Disney offers apparel, pins, drinkware, and other collectibles based on the long-running adventure series.

At the time of writing, the Holy Grail replica is listed for $49.99 on the Disney Store website. The item is currently marked as out of stock. Disney also limits purchases to two per customer when inventory is available.
The product warning is a standard safety notice for a display collectible. Even so, its wording has created an amusing connection to the source material. In a film where drinking from the right cup is the key to survival, the official Indiana Jones Holy Grail replica comes with instructions not to drink from it at all.
