It’s a joint venture between Adam Sandler and Lebron James on Netflix, and as you might suspect, it’s a basketball movie.

Off of one of the worst bombs in cinematic history, Lebron James is shaking away the disappointment of Space Jam A New Legacy to strike out as a behind-the-scenes movie man. Hustle is the story of a talent agent looking for diamonds in the rough of far away places. One might imagine this is the sort of person who discovers a Vlade Divac or a Manu Ginobili. Although in the case of Ginobili, he had an entire family of basketball phenoms all playing in the local Argentine gym. Whatever the case may be, Adam Sandler is pulling the non-comedy, straight actor gig for this one. Some people may be excited, others may be apprehensive. But you know what? I’m ready to give this one a chance. Just from the trailers, I think this could be pretty great. It’s got that Moneyball sleeper hit kind of vibe going for it in the trailer. I’m game to watch it.

Anyway, let’s see where it goes. It could be the next great sports movie.
