Disney has confirmed several returning Marvel actors for Avengers Infinity Defense, one of two new attractions planned for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. The attraction is scheduled to open in 2028 as part of an expansion that will double the size of Avengers Campus.
Disney announced the returning actors during its D23 2026 presentation on August 15. Here is what Disney has confirmed about the Avengers Infinity Defense cast so far.
The Mission
Avengers Infinity Defense will send guests on a mission across multiple worlds after technology that allows the Avengers to travel between locations goes missing. King Thanos gains control of the technology and uses it to cause trouble across different worlds.
Disney has identified Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City among the locations guests will visit during the attraction. The story will involve the Avengers attempting to stop King Thanos and restore the technology.

The attraction will combine physical environments with large-scale media. Disney has described the experience as a multi-world adventure in which guests join the Avengers rather than simply observe them.
The Cast
Iman Vellani will reprise her role as Kamala Khan, or Ms. Marvel, and will brief guests before they begin. She will welcome them as new recruits and explain their assignment.
The mission then brings together four other Avengers played by their MCU actors. Robert Downey Jr. will return as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth will reprise Thor, Anthony Mackie will play Captain America, and Jeremy Renner will return as Hawkeye.

The attraction’s casting also creates an unusual connection to the MCU. Downey’s Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame, but the actor will return as Iron Man for the Disney Parks experience. His role in Avengers Infinity Defense is separate from his upcoming MCU portrayal of Victor von Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.
Stark Flight Lab: What to Expect
The second Avengers Campus attraction will be Stark Flight Lab, which takes guests into Tony Stark’s workshop for a test of his technology.
Disney says guests will board two-person pods that travel along a track before reaching a large robotic arm. The arm lifts each pod into the air and performs a series of movements designed to simulate flight. The vehicle then returns to the track.
The ride system will make the robotic equipment part of the visible attraction rather than hiding it behind the scenes. Disney has described the system as a transfer between a track vehicle and a robot arm.

Robert Downey Jr. will return as Tony Stark for Stark Flight Lab. Disney has also confirmed Anthony Mackie as Captain America and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel for the attraction.
The Avengers Infinity Defense Cast So Far
Disney has confirmed five performers for Avengers Infinity Defense: Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel.
The confirmed lineup could change before the attraction opens in 2028. For now, the five actors above represent the announced Avengers Infinity Defense cast.
