Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT is scheduled to reopen September 29, 2026, according to Walt Disney World’s current operating and reservation information. The reopening comes more than a month before the November 4 date that previously appeared in Disney’s calendar.
The restaurant closed September 8 for planned maintenance, just three weeks prior to its reopening.
Coral Reef Restaurant Reopening
The restaurant initially appeared on Disney’s calendar with a November 4 reopening date. That schedule would have kept Coral Reef closed from September 8 into early November.
Disney’s reservation calendar has since moved the reopening to September 29. The change brings the scheduled return forward by 36 days.

Disney has not publicly explained why the reopening date changed. Its official information continues to describe the closure as planned maintenance.
Given the less-than-a-month closure, Major renovations or updates are unlikely. Instead, the closure looks like it may have been a seasonal closure. No changes have been confirmed.
Same Hours and Menu
When Coral Reef reopens, it is expected to continue operating as a dinner-only restaurant. The location previously discontinued lunch service earlier this year. Current information lists dinner hours from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Disney describes Coral Reef as an EPCOT table-service restaurant serving American and seafood dishes. Its official restaurant page describes the menu as Florida Coastal Cuisine. So far, no menu change has been announced.
Restaurant Sits Inside The Seas Pavilion
Coral Reef Restaurant operates inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion at EPCOT. The dining room overlooks the pavilion’s large aquarium.
Disney says the aquarium contains approximately 2,000 sea creatures representing more than 60 aquatic species. The habitat includes sharks, sea turtles and rays. Disney also states that the aquarium contains enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The aquarium provides the setting for the restaurant, while The Seas pavilion also includes other attractions. The Seas is located in EPCOT’s World Nature area.
Reopening Comes During EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
The scheduled September 29 reopening falls during the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Disney lists the festival as running from August 27 through November 21, 2026.
The festival operates throughout EPCOT and includes temporary food and beverage locations in addition to the park’s permanent restaurants.
What Guests Should Know About the Reopening
Guests visiting EPCOT after September 29 can currently expect Coral Reef to be available for dinner, subject to further schedule changes. The date shortens a planned maintenance closure that began September 8 and moves the restaurant’s scheduled return more than a month ahead of the previously listed November 4 date.
Advance reservations are recommended for Disney’s table-service restaurants. A restaurant reservation does not provide admission to EPCOT, so guests must also meet the park’s admission requirements for their visit.
Anyone planning a trip around the Coral Reef reopening should check Disney’s official reservation system before visiting.
