Po’s kung fu class is out for now at Universal Studios Florida. Po Live!, the interactive Kung Fu Panda show in DreamWorks Land, closed on Oct. 3, and Universal hasn’t said when it’s coming back.
The show’s official page says it “will be temporarily closed starting on October 3rd.” Universal’s park hours page lists it the same way in its temporary closures table, with a start date and nothing after it.
A Closure With No End Date
Most rows on that table come with a full window. Jurassic Park River Adventure over at Islands of Adventure, for example, is listed as closed through Nov. 19, 2026. The Po listing just reads “Starting October 3, 2026,” with no reason and no seasonal placeholder like “Winter 2026.”
It’s also just the one show. The listing doesn’t cover DreamWorks Land as a whole, so the rest of the land stays open and families can still work it into the day.
If you haven’t seen it, Universal pitches the show as a kid-friendly experience where guests chat with Po on a digital animated screen while he teaches kung fu moves, keeps an eye on his baby cousin, and tries his hand at cooking. It’s short and it’s indoors, which made it an easy stop with little ones.

Universal hasn’t said why it’s closing, or whether this is a quick fix or something bigger.
Its Second Break This Year
This isn’t the first time the show has gone dark in 2026. In May, WDW News Today reported that Universal’s refurbishment calendar had both the show and the nearby Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp splash area closing May 18, with a return planned ahead of the July 4 holiday.
The training camp reopened on July 3, but reports that day said the show itself would stay closed longer. Then in October, Inside the Magic wrote that it had returned in early July and run through the following months. Universal never announced a reopening date, but the show was up and running again before this latest closure.
Planning Around It
Until Universal posts a return date, plan any Universal Studios Florida day as if Po Live! won’t be there. The closure table can change without a press release, so check the hours page or the Universal Orlando app the morning you go.
The park’s lineup is shifting in other ways this fall, too. As of early October, Universal’s closure table also listed Animal Actors On Location! as closing permanently on Nov. 3, 2026, so families looking for low-key shows will have fewer options as the season goes on.

If you’ve got a Po fan at home, let them know before you go. Nobody wants to promise a kung fu lesson and walk up to a closed door.
