Grand Theft Auto VI may give players more freedom to leave their clothes behind than anyone expected, according to newly leaked footage.
Reports surrounding the latest Cyberleek release suggest that protagonist Jason Duval can appear completely naked during gameplay and cutscenes. Lucia is also shown partially undressed, raising questions about how far Rockstar intends to take the franchise’s adult content. Whether those options appear in the finished game remains unconfirmed.
For a series built around criminal mayhem and outrageous behavior, another controversy hardly comes as a surprise. This time, though, the debate concerns whether nudity extends beyond specific encounters into ordinary play.
Jason Apparently Leaves Nothing to the Imagination
According to Dexerto, Cyberleek returned October 8 with approximately 25 minutes of footage. The anonymous source previously released videos in August.
The latest footage reportedly shows Jason moving through the open world fully unclothed, with uncensored full-frontal nudity. He also appears naked in cutscenes, suggesting that the demonstrated build carries players’ clothing choices into story sequences.

Lucia’s appearance requires some clarification. Despite headlines describing both protagonists as naked, she reportedly retains bikini bottoms or underwear while appearing topless. Footage showing her from behind also limits what viewers can establish about her appearance.
Earlier leaks showed an apparent nudist community populated by unclothed NPCs. The new material shifts attention toward what players can do with the protagonists themselves.
If that functionality reaches the retail version, nudity could become a recurring part of a player’s experience rather than something confined to particular locations.
Players choosing to keep their protagonists clothed would presumably have a different experience. However, the footage raises questions about how much adult content depends on player choices and how much appears during normal progression.
Confirmed Shower Scenes Are More Restrained
One related feature has firmer support: Jason can be taking a shower when players switch to him.
Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson discussed that scenario during an IGN interview. However, IGN’s Rachel Weber subsequently clarified that “thanks to some carefully positioned camera angles, his modesty remained entirely intact.”
That distinction matters when comparing the officially demonstrated experience with the uncensored gameplay circulating through leaks.

The shower scene shows how character transitions can bring players into private moments. It does not establish that either protagonist can freely explore Leonida completely exposed.
Geeks + Gamers also suggests that the leaked footage may come from an earlier build. NPCs’ apparent lack of reaction to the protagonists’ nudity raises questions about whether the feature is complete.
Rockstar has said NPCs can recognize the characters by their clothing and react to visible weapons, making their apparent indifference particularly noticeable. Still, that behavior alone does not establish the footage’s age or explain the missing clothing.
A Mature Rating Still Covers Considerable Ground
Technically, the American classification is “Mature 17+,” rather than “MA.” The ESRB’s listing for GTA VI includes Nudity, Strong Sexual Content, Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, and other adult-content descriptors.
Those labels identify the broad categories of material players should expect. They do not explain precisely how frequently nudity appears or how much control players have over encountering it.
The ESRB also distinguishes nudity from depictions of sexual behavior. Footage of an unclothed character therefore does not, by itself, establish that the game belongs in the separate Adults Only category.

For Rockstar, the larger question is how these details serve the experience. More explicit imagery can generate headlines, but it does little on its own to demonstrate stronger storytelling, sharper satire, or better missions.
The latest footage suggests that GTA VI could take the franchise’s treatment of nudity further. Whether it pushes the boundaries of the entire Mature category is a broader claim that these leaks cannot establish.
Until the finished game arrives, the distinction between an uncensored development build and a deliberate gameplay feature remains unresolved.
