A trip to Walt Disney World’s EPCOT took an unexpected turn when a guest decided that riding through the Mexico Pavilion’s popular Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros simply wasn’t exciting enough. Instead, he apparently decided to turn the beloved Disney attraction into his own personal swimming pool.
The stunt, which was captured on video and subsequently circulated across social media, resulted in Disney World banning not only the individual responsible but also the entire group accompanying him.
The incident is another example of increasingly outrageous adult guest behavior at Disney’s theme parks, where attractions designed for family entertainment occasionally become the setting for dangerous stunts.
Guest Jumps Into Water During Three Caballeros Ride
According to WDW News Today, footage of the incident surfaced on October 6, showing a guest climbing out of his boat during Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.
Rather than remaining seated as required, the individual climbed onto part of the attraction’s scenery before diving headfirst into the water.

Other members of his group could reportedly be heard cheering as the stunt unfolded.
The video quickly attracted attention online, with viewers expressing disbelief that someone would willingly jump into the water of an operating Disney attraction.
Witness Michael Collantes, who shared footage of the incident, reportedly indicated that this wasn’t even the first member of the group to enter the water. According to his account, another individual had already jumped in before the incident captured on camera.
Collantes also alleged that members of the group had been drinking margaritas before boarding the attraction. However, there has been no official confirmation that alcohol played a role in the incident.
The attraction was reportedly stopped for approximately 15 minutes following the disruption.
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a slow-moving boat ride located inside the Mexico Pavilion’s iconic pyramid at EPCOT’s World Showcase. The attraction features Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles in a musical adventure through Mexico.
While the ride is generally considered one of EPCOT’s more relaxing experiences, its waterways are certainly not intended for swimming.
Beyond disrupting the experience for other guests, diving into an attraction’s waterway presents obvious safety concerns. The water can conceal underwater structures, mechanical equipment, and other hazards that guests can’t see from their boats.
Disney World Bans Entire Group Following Incident
Disney World apparently had little patience for the stunt. According to Entertainment Weekly, Disney confirmed that the guest responsible and his accompanying party were trespassed from the property.
“This behavior was unsafe and a clear violation of our park rules. The guest and his party were trespassed,” a Disney spokesperson told the outlet.
The decision is particularly noteworthy because Disney’s response extended beyond the individual who actually performed the stunt.

Disney has not publicly clarified whether the trespass notices constitute permanent bans or whether the individuals might eventually be permitted to return.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that no arrests were made in connection with the incident.
Although the stunt apparently did not result in criminal charges, Disney’s decision to remove the entire party sends a clear message about the consequences of disregarding attraction safety rules.
A Dangerous Stunt With Serious Consequences
Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of the incident is how easily someone could have been seriously injured.
Gran Fiesta Tour is not a water park attraction. Its shallow waterways are designed to transport boats along a predetermined route, not accommodate guests diving into them.
A headfirst plunge into water of an unknown depth could result in a collision with the bottom of the channel or submerged equipment.
The stunt also raises questions about the behavior of guests visiting EPCOT’s World Showcase, particularly during events such as the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, where alcoholic beverages are widely available.
While enjoying drinks around World Showcase is a popular activity, consuming alcohol doesn’t excuse disregarding basic safety requirements or disrupting attractions for other visitors.

There is also the matter of the other guests who paid substantial admission prices to enjoy EPCOT, only to have their experience interrupted because someone decided to perform a reckless stunt.
Disney Cast Members must also deal with the consequences of such behavior, including stopping attractions, addressing safety concerns, and potentially assisting guests who place themselves in dangerous situations.
Ultimately, Disney’s decision to trespass the group appears entirely justified. Theme park attractions operate under strict safety procedures for good reason, and ignoring those requirements can have consequences extending well beyond an interrupted vacation.
For this particular group, a ride through Mexico with Donald Duck and his feathered companions ended with something considerably less magical: an unexpected departure from Walt Disney World and an uncertain prospect of ever returning.
