We’re taking a break from traditional articles for the evening out of respect for the solemn situation the United States faces with the murder of innocent children and caretakers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. When malevolence rises up, like a vicious snake hidden in the underbrush, it strikes senselessly to cause most severe pain and suffering to those who do not deserve it. Unlike a snake, however, the evil that can rise up inside the human mind is intentional in its desire to bring hell to those who unknowingly come into its path. The children and their families impacted tonight did nothing to deserve the horror that sprang upon them. That Park Place and all of our contributors send our deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to all who are suffering this evening.
In the face of such darkness, it is important to remember that beauty and light are not extinguished. Though evil must be real, as we have witnessed today, so too must be the opposite. In that mode of thought, we think it best to show you the beauty and potential of a child. May we all be kinder and better tomorrow to the little children in our lives. For nothing does more harm to hatred than for our response to be compassion, truth and hopefulness. Let us be kind tomorrow in spite of the pain today.
To remind us of how precious each child is, and the beauty which resides within, we introduce you to Alberto Cartuccia Cingolani of Italy. He is a musical prodigy — and yes, his mother says he does play games and watch television. He isn’t forced to just practice piano. Though Alberto may be remarkable in his gifts on the piano, may we all remember that each child is remarkable in their own ways. His amazing talent is trending worldwide today:
