In an entertainment industry where celebrities frequently make headlines for political activism, controversial statements, and extravagant lifestyles, Chris Pratt is making headlines for something considerably more refreshing: his Christian faith and commitment to raising his children with the values he holds dear.

The Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star recently explained that despite his considerable success in Hollywood, the most important legacy he can leave behind has nothing to do with blockbuster movies, awards, or financial success.

Instead, Pratt wants his children to inherit his faith in God.

Speaking with Fox News Digital ahead of the second season of his Prime Video series The Terminal List, Pratt discussed the central role Christianity plays in his everyday life.

Chris Pratt Says His Christian Faith Is His Greatest Gift to His Children

Pratt, who has never been particularly shy about expressing his religious convictions, explained that Christianity remains the foundation of his life and his approach to fatherhood.

“My faith is how I start my day, it’s how I end my day,” Pratt declared during the interview.

The actor went further, explaining that his relationship with God represents the greatest inheritance he hopes to provide his four children.

Rather than discussing the considerable wealth or professional opportunities his Hollywood career might eventually afford his family, Pratt emphasized the importance of passing along something that cannot be purchased.

He also acknowledged that fatherhood comes with considerable responsibilities and that he doesn’t expect to get everything right.

“It’s an incredible blessing to be a father. It’s also a lot of hard work,” Pratt explained.

The actor said he hopes to learn from his own father’s example, repeating what his father did well while avoiding the mistakes he made.

It’s a refreshingly humble perspective from someone who has achieved the kind of professional success most actors can only dream about.

Pratt shares his oldest son, Jack, with former wife Anna Faris. He and his current wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, have three children together: daughters Lyla and Eloise, and son Ford.

Chris Pratt Continues to Embrace Christianity Despite Hollywood’s Culture

Pratt’s latest comments are consistent with his longstanding willingness to discuss Christianity publicly, even when doing so places him at odds with the prevailing attitudes of Hollywood’s celebrity culture.

His faith became especially important following the premature birth of his son Jack in 2012, an experience Pratt has previously discussed when explaining his relationship with God.

While many celebrities appear eager to associate themselves with whatever political or cultural movement currently dominates entertainment industry conversations, Pratt has remained remarkably consistent about the importance of religion and family.

There is something genuinely encouraging about a major Hollywood star who isn’t embarrassed to discuss God, acknowledge his own imperfections, or recognize that being a good father matters more than being a successful celebrity.

Pratt isn’t demanding that audiences share his beliefs. He is simply refusing to pretend those beliefs aren’t central to his identity.

And in an industry where traditional religious convictions aren’t always celebrated, that willingness to speak openly deserves recognition.

Ultimately, Pratt’s comments offer a reminder that Hollywood fame is temporary, box office records eventually fall, and even the biggest franchises eventually fade from public attention.

The values parents pass down to their children, however, can influence generations. For Chris Pratt, that is the legacy worth protecting.
