Marvel Phases 5 and 6 are on the way. Can they revive the hobbled Phase 4 flops that have plagued the studio since 2020?

Well, that’s a few announcements out of Marvel, eh?

San Diego Comic Con 2022 is coming to a close and Disney’s Marvel Entertainment went out with a significant splash. Some had thought they would hold back some of this for D23, which now begs the question: what are they planning to reveal at Disney’s own convention? We now have the Fantastic 4 movie confirmed with a release date (Nov 8, 2024), we know the Phase 4, 5 and 6 films out of Marvel are part of the “Multiverse Saga,” and the Wakanda Forever trailer is out. Two of those were mostly known at this point, but the Wakanda Forever trailer is brand-new. It’s sure to stir up some conversations, though, as it does appear to be highly female-centric. That’s a strategy that could be genius or it could fail very hard. It is sure to be a divisive decision and direction for the film that will be largely in the shadows of the late Chadwick Boseman.

So what do you think? Is this a wise path forward for Marvel? Does this confirm some of what WDW Pro has been saying that Marvel is secretly signing big-name actors for future films? Is this the way that Bob Chapek will finally get his wish to bring back Robert Downey Jr?
