David Zaslav is taking no chances when it comes to the possibility of leaks for the famously and recently cancelled Batgirl film.
“No, we have nothing. Adil called me and said, ‘Go ahead shoot some things on your mobile.’ I went on the server and everything was blocked. We were like ‘F**king s***!’ All the scenes with Batman in them! S**t!'”
It looks like the effort to shut down any possible leaks was swift and necessary. Clearly the directors of the movie from the quote above were interested in stealing Warner Bros Discovery’s assets under the false belief they were entitled to the material. Based on their response to being blocked, it’s obvious they weren’t happy about losing the opportunity to save the work for “the future”.
But for anyone waiting see Batgirl out on a streaming service via a future release, it doesn’t seem likely since the film isn’t complete.
Before it’s released one day, there would be a lot of work still to do — just like the Snyder Cut. It cannot be released in its current state. There’s no VFX, we still had to shoot some scenes. So if they wanted us to release the Batgirl movie they would need to give us the means to do it… to finish it properly with our vision.

It’s an interesting way to finish that quote. It doesn’t seem WBD is interested in their “vision”.
The interview and the tone from the dismissed directors all seem to be part of a new narrative being formed against Warner Bros Discovery head honcho, David Zaslav. The same group of websites that tried unsuccessfully to dislodge Disney CEO Bob Chapek with non-stop negative coverage are back at it again with Zaslav. This time they’re hoping to win via a dropping stock price.

Will the effort to take down a CEO they disagree with be more successful this time around? I suppose it depends on whether or not Zaslav can turn the company around. Despite sharks in the water, for now he’s in charge — leakers and haters haven’t yet found a way to kick him off his ship.

I am seeing an overlap of those who are attacking Zaslav with those who admit watching House of the Dragon – Zaslav is swimming in ratings – (and those who hate him are enjoying the show). Their words are empty because their action is hollow.
With Adil & Bilall, it was not personal because WBD learned the lesson from the past. Zack Snyder was able to keep the Snydercut alive because he accessed the files, saved them, and was able to use them for his pitch.
Quite the PR dance is happening now between WBD and Adil & Bilall, and I think WBD needs to be careful because Adil & Bilall are media savvy. Would be best if WBD assigns them a movie to direct to make up for this because regardless of the business reasoning, it’s not cool, kosher, the synonyms continue.
What separates the Snydercut from the current situation is the IRS. They took advantage of a tax loophole with this movie, as such it cannot see the light of day without risking some serious repercussions from the federal government. Adil & Bilall will definitely kill their chances in Hollywood if they manage to leak something that draws the attention of the IRS. And now that they have admitted to trying to make unauthorized recordings on the record any leak will be attributed to them.
I just started to watch Netflix’s Sandman. I knew it was Woke, but thought I’ll give it a chance. By episode 3, two main characters are gay and lesbian in interracial relationships. By episode 5, 1 lesbian character to start. Then 2 characters converted to lesbian and gay. Episode 7, a drag queen performing Ethel Merman. Needless to say, I fast forwarded the drag queen performance.
This is so Woke it bent over backwards to make the greater majority of characters gay and non-white.
The Sandman’s Journey was good, but remainder of the story is terrible. Stop with Woke.

Unlike Bob Chapek, I believe David Zaslav is willing to make the major necessary to clean the slate and successfully moderate his corporation long-term. However, I do believe the effort to take him down will be more successful.
This is not because he’s less willing to compromise than Chapek, but because he seems committed to the insane suicidal idea of releasing The Flash as is with Ezra Miller. The apology they forced Ezra to make went over like a lead balloon with the public at large and the backlash will only worsen assuming he doesn’t back down from releasing the film within the next ten months.
If that happens, the film will flop, Zaslav will be given no choice but to resigns and the ideologues will use him as an example making a false equivalency between moderating away from their demands and going forward with unethical business decisions. In my honest opinion, these actions will not only permanently damage WBD’s public image, but make moderation vastly more difficult for other companies than it already is.
