A new rumor is hitting the web today out of Tom Connors, one of the infamous hosts and commentators for the Midnight’s Edge YouTube channel. Is Amber Heard out for Aquaman 2?
Just heard from another source that Amber is being replaced in Aquaman 2 (most likely by Emilia Clarke)

It seems that Tom is hearing from multiple sources that Amber Heard is out and Emilia Clarke is in. That’s not a great shock in all honesty. Keeping Amber Heard on the project, regardless of what you think about her claims against Johnny Depp, is likely to decimate ticket sales. There just aren’t enough Amber Heard fans in the world to supply the demand needed. At the same time, it seems evident that the number of people who dislike Amber Heard enough to avoid a movie she is in… well, they may be very significant. Swapping Heard out for Clarke is a no-brainer for a studio that can make it happen. The movie goes from potentially losing huge numbers of ticket sales to gaining as fans would be interested in seeing Clarke and Momoa paired together.
The four-time Emmy nominated Clarke has also emerged as the top choice for replacing Amber Heard due to her relationship with star Jason Momoa. The two have had a previous working relationship, having starred alongside each other and being each other’s love interests in the hit series, Game of Thrones. The death of Momoa’s character, Khal Drogo, while he was in a relationship with Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, left fans yearning for a reunion of the two characters. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this rumor. Back in April, Movie Web was reporting on the same thing. What is different this time is that Mr. Connors is reporting that we’ve gone from speculation and potential to action by the studio. I suppose we’ll find out just how good his connections might be on this one.
