Animal Kingdom Safari Incident Closes Queue

We’re not sure what has occurred, but That Park Place is receiving information that an animal incident on the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction at Walt Disney’s Animal Kingdom has led to two major attractions shut down on the same day. Officially it’s being called an “animal blocking the vehicles”, but that usually doesn’t cause hours of backup. The attraction was moved to Lightning Lane only to clear the lines with no estimation as to when the queue would reopen.

With Expedition Everest likewise down for months, Animal Kingdom is particularly vulnerable to major closures causing major headaches. Finding Nemo the Musical won’t be open anytime soon, Primeval Whirl is demolished, and that means only a few major attractions are left to bear the load.

Once we hear the full details of the animal incident, we will update the article. In the meantime, keep checking out That Park Place!

Update 11:38 AM EST:

Three safaris are up and running again after today’s “incident” which was later termed “technical difficulties”.
