Walt Disney World News Today is reporting that more people are cancelling their reservations for the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser “hotel” after the reveal of the new “purple lady” who appears in the welcome video for reserved guests. The alleged cancellations are so bad that we’re again seeing openings for days that would have been unthinkable before. Who could have guessed we’d be seeing availability in the second week of its operation? Again?

Meanwhile, Drunk C3P0 on YouTube has realized that the actress, with simple purple makeup and triangles painted on her forehead, is standing in front of a green screen and likely holding a iPhone wrapped in an “exotic” shell during the video. The green screen background image is as simple as it gets, and looks as if it could be created in Microsoft Paint.
Comments left on our own reporting about the welcome video are also mostly negative about the presentation. That’s not good when Disney is asking for six-thousand dollars out of a family-of-four wishing to participate in the luxury experience. Here are some of the comments we received:

Disney has yet to make any public remarks about the reception of the experience, but we’re just about getting to the point where they may be forced to do something. Having a brand-new hotel experience not be booked in its second-week of operation is just bizarre. On the other hand, our management here at That Park Place has joked they may just sign up for the experience now that there’s availability. Maybe we’ll get a review out sooner than we expected?
