As previously reported in regards to Project Nugget, Disney World is going to jettison the relatively new fireworks show Happily Ever After. The resort has seen major upgrades to its pyro-firing station located north of Magic Kingdom, and along with a new fireworks coordinator, it seem Disney is feeling spry for new entertainment options.

WDWNT is reporting that the final performance of Happily Ever After looks to be at the end of September, so frequent guests wanting to catch one last viewing should make plans quickly.
Happily Ever After debuted in May of 2017, so its full runtime is significantly less than Wishes, which was available for nearly 14 years. The new show replacing Happily Ever After, and likely having a two-year window of operation, will almost certainly use some of the new features installed at the pyro center. Expect to see more impressive coordination in firework explosions, as well as new angles for pyrotechnics.
One question that remains is whether or not Disney might do limited-time showings of older firework displays. The new technology would certainly lead itself to being able to shift quickly, and it would not be a stretch to say that some fans would love to see another live performance of Wishes.
Let us know what you think in the comments below. Would you be interested in seeing older fireworks shows in addition to new ones?
