Most people had probably not heard of Betty White: 100 Years Younga documentary that was to screen for one night at theaters on Betty White’s 100th birthday. I know that I was unaware of the upcoming tribute. With White’s peaceful passing in her sleep, producers of this niche feature were presented with a major difficulty: to proceed or not proceed with a 100th birthday celebration of a woman who has gone to heaven?

The answer appears to be that the show must go on.

According to Deadline:

Our hearts mourn today with the passing of Betty White. During the many years we worked with her, we developed a great love and admiration for Betty as a person, and as an accomplished entertainer,” they added. “We are thankful for the many decades of delight she brought to everyone. Betty always said she was the ‘luckiest broad on two feet’ to have had a career as long as she did. And honestly, we were the lucky ones to have had her for so long. We will go forward with our plans to show the film on January 17 in hopes our film will provide a way for all who loved her to celebrate her life—and experience what made her such a national treasure.

The documentary will feature appearances from a host of famous celebrities who had spent time with Betty White. Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, and Clint Eastwood are just some of the names associated with this project.

Mrs. White had often said in her later years that she missed her husband and believed she would see him again after passing away. So here’s to Betty, here’s to that reunion, and here’s to all the good things Mrs. White brought into this world with her charm, smile, and laughter.

I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.

Thanks for all the fun, Betty!
