Breaking: Sony Purchases Original Halo Dev Bungie

This is huge, huge news. Sony Entertainment is reportedly buying the original developer behind the Halo series, Bungie. The studio currently works on the Destiny series. Has Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard set off an acquisition war? The cost for Sony is going to be a 3.6 billion dollar sum.

For those of you eighties and nineties kids out there, this is like Nintendo buying SEGA level strange. Twenty years ago, Bungie was the studio for Microsoft Games.
