CBS Eliminates a Late Night Show — Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon Collapse in Ratings While Gutfield Shines

​Late-night television, once a cornerstone of American entertainment, is experiencing a significant decline. Now, with the elimination of one of CBS' programs, After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson, the collapse is beginning.

As opposed to replacing the PM comedy talk show format, CBS is opting to just trim the fat. Less hours of late night is the new norm... and it could be going all the way to "goodbye" for the genre that Johnny Carson largely built.

They don’t care about ratings. They do what they’re told. Same for Gutfield. It’s all Mockingbird Media. They’re all lying to you. Covid should’ve proven that.

Two more factors in the latenight decline:
1. In the Biden economy which still persists, people with TWO jobs or more cannot stay up this late–they have to get sleep.
2. The thing Gutfeld has is HUMOR, genuine humor, along with serious discussions. The other late-nighters only THINK they are serious while the audience doesn’t THINK they are funny. The key to humor, btw, is the element of SURPRISE! Nobody watching the network latenighters is ever shocked or surprised funny or otherwise because they just repeat the same old tired songs of complaint over and over again.
