From there, it explained the impact of the benefit policy, “Here’s a summary of the impact of this benefit during the first nine months of implementation: 39% of eligible REDs have taken menstrual leave at least once, on a monthly average, 11.3% of eligible REDs use this benefit, [and] 57% used menstrual leave at least twice, with 1% using it every month.”

The company’s Director of Culture, Diversity & Inclusion Agnieszka Szamalek-Michalska added, “These numbers, along with the recognition we’ve received, show that REDs are using this benefit responsibly and highlight the safety and supportiveness of our workplace.”

Next, CD Projekt Red stated, “But we’re not stopping there. We are now part of Career Cycle, a program initiated by the Kulczyk Foundation. This initiative unites organizations and companies that create an inclusive work environment by increasing awareness of menstrual health”

The company concluded, “A big thank you to all individuals who’ve supported us on this journey!”

The company announced its menstrual leave benefit back in March 2023 writing on X, “We’re proud to offer menstrual leave to employees! Team members can now focus on their comfort & health by taking time off when suffering from period pain.”

It added, “It’s all about inclusivity & fostering a supportive workplace inside Red. Kudos to GOG for implementing this benefit first!”

The company previously touted an award it received from 30% Club Poland for the policy back in October 2023. It wrote on X, “Our menstrual leave initiative, which we implemented this April, was recently awarded by 30% Club Poland — we’re honored to be recognized alongside other industry leaders working to increase diversity and inclusion!”

“CD PROJEKT RED was chosen for the DEI Award for our work in promoting acceptance of biological differences and for creating a flexible work environment,” the company stated. “Thank you 30% Club Poland for recognizing our efforts. We hope to continue developing our diversity, equity & inclusion strategies and inspiring others to do the same!”

I hope CD Projekt Red goes bankrupt faster.

The pride on their faces is frankly kind of silly. This whole push for openness about periods is just weird. I’m not saying you should be ashamed of them but it’s a bodily function for expelling waste, not some accomplishment.

It’s all virtue signaling of course. Why not just say that they’re giving extra sick leave to all employees? Men are far more likely to throw out their backs digging up rocks in the yard, slicing their hands open when they’re sharpening the mower blades, or having a branch nail them when they’re out doing tree work (I’m a office nerd and I’ve done and continue to do all of this work so it’s obviously pretty common.) Do men get extra leave for that type of stuff or are they expected to either use their existing sick time or just tough it out and come to work? And if women are so debilitated during their cycle then what happened to the idea that women can do anything men can do? If you’re that debilitated for that much time then obviously you can’t.

But I get the impression that behind this is the effort to divide us further and make us hate each other. I am so freaking thankful that the women in my life, especially my wife, are down to earth and don’t fall for this crap.
