An actress has been severely injured in a car accident. In response some outlets are not handling the news in the most appropriate way.

Anne Heche has been badly injured in a car accident that involved her vehicle plowing into a residential home. It is not known whether or not she was conscious or encumbered in some way at the time of the accident. As a result of the wreck, flames billowed up and Ms. Heche was trapped in her fiery vehicle. After a significant period of time, firefighters were able to break through the fire enough to rescue the actress. Unfortunately, she was badly burned and has been intubated. She is expected to survive but the injuries have been severe.

If you are the type of person who believes in prayer, it might be a nice thing to pray for Ms. Heche and her loved ones as they process this life change. If you’re not, have good thoughts and do something kind in lieu for the fact we can’t fix all tragedies but we can impact our own sphere of influence.

“Anne is in the ICU, she’s lucky to be alive. She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead. Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash,” a source close to Heche told CNN Saturday morning.

Out of respect, we will not be including video of Ms. Heche as she was being placed into an ambulance. We find sharing that video to be distasteful and unbecoming.

Everyone at our website sends our hopes and prayers for Anne and her family. May peace be found in moments of deeply hard times ahead.
