Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games, has been banned from the subreddit dedicated to his own game, Lords of the Fallen (r/LordsoftheFallen). The subreddit’s moderation team cited his “politically motivated agenda” as the primary reason for this action.

In an official announcement titled “Addressing the CEO of CI Games’ Politically Motivated Agenda,” the moderators expressed their concerns.

“The CEO of CI Games, Marek Tymiński, is actively supporting and promoting fa**ist ideology under the guise of catering to the player base. As a moderation team, along with many gamers worldwide, we are deeply shocked and disgusted by the events of the past few weeks.”

As a result, the moderation team removed all CI Games and Hexworks officials from their roles within the subreddit. They clarified that this decision was not a reflection on the individuals removed but was solely directed at the CEO:

“We want to make it clear that those removed are honorable and decent individuals, and we have nothing but respect for them. Every interaction we’ve had with them since the game’s launch has been nothing short of extraordinary. Unfortunately, this decision affects the wrong people.”

In response to the ban and the accusations leveled against him, Tymiński took to X to voice his perspective. He immediately dismissed the allegations.

“The ‘everyone is a N*zi’ thing is getting really boring and out of touch,” he said. “Truth ALWAYS wins in the end. Trust is built through authenticity and transparency, not by shifting narratives. Players First!”

He further commented on the moderation actions within the subreddit.

“I took screenshots of all the comments before they started getting deleted on that Reddit N*zi post,” the CI Games CEO said. “Almost all the comments were against the ban or calling me a N*zi – which must have triggered them to start deleting. We have everything! The truth ALWAYS wins!”

This incident is the latest in a series of actions by Tymiński that have sparked discussions within the gaming community. Previously, he conducted polls to gather player opinions on various topics, including character gender selection and the portrayal of lead characters in video games.

In one poll, 88% of respondents preferred the traditional “male/female” character selection over the “Body Type A/B” system. In another, 84.4% of participants expressed a desire for lead characters to be considered attractive or aspirational.

Following these polls, Tymiński announced that CI Games would update Lords of the Fallen (2023) to replace the “Body Type A/B” system with the traditional male and female options, aligning with player preferences.

This ban from the subreddit and the ensuing controversy highlight the tensions between game developers, community platforms, and players regarding the direction of game content and the influence of political ideologies. Tymiński’s commitment to prioritizing player feedback and his open engagement on these topics continue to generate both support and criticism within the gaming community.

On what kind of power trip do you have to be to think you have more of a say about Lords of the Fallen than the CEO and the employees? Absolute parasites. Reddit is going to redpill this dude for real.
