In a detailed letter to Senator Cory Booker, Skydance CEO David Ellison issued a sweeping warning about a potential Netflix acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, arguing the deal would fundamentally reshape — and potentially destabilize — the modern entertainment marketplace.

At the same time, Ellison positioned Skydance and Paramount’s own merger ambitions as the pro-competitive alternative, setting the stage for a high-stakes regulatory and industry showdown.

What a bunch of corporate gobbledygook. He has too big a dog in this fight so of course he’s going to use all those stupid arguments. Paramount is just the better of two evils, but it is still evil.

This is really about who can give Zaz and his C-suite cronies the most bucks the fastest. They get platinum, NAY, parachutes of this caliber can’t be described as mere platinum. They must be Unobtanium(!) to land their family wealth beyond reckoning . And yes, I am jealous.

If Google only gets a slap on the wrist for their stranglehold on adsense, Internet Video, and Search none of these metrics Ellison is running his mouth about will make a difference.

What he really needs to tell people is that if Netflix has no shame. If they gets their mitts on it they’ll race and gender swap some of our most beloved characters, destroying a bunch of American culture in the process. Not that they care, but hey, at least it works for the common folk.
